Guide Engineering is a multifaceted engineering firm with 20 years of engineering experience.
Guide Engineering was founded in 2010 through a company restructure from Sutter Brown which had been in business since 2004. Along with a new company name came advancements into commercial and public works projects. Although we are a locally owned and operated business our projects stretch across California. We are well versed in local and state regulations to provide excellent and accurate customer service.
Guide Engineering also has a certified access specialist who has specialized in dealing with accessibility construction defects for the past 15 years. With this experience we can provide low cost solutions to design and renovations which produces facilities that meet ADA and title 24 requirements.
We believe in preparing transition plans that will allow the business to maintain strong economic growth without expending capital on expensive alterations. Our Clients are able to make low cost modifications that promote accessibility and meet State and Federal Code. Our professional approach enables businesses to maintain open operations while meeting accessibility needs.
As the project administrator Aubrie completes all essential administrative support to coordinate the team. Her duties include all aspects of facilitating a project such as maintaining and modifying contracts and agreements, scheduling meeting times and locations, taking meeting minutes, developing presentations, completing applications and keeping records. In addition she is also responsible for handling the fundamental aspects of Guide Engineering’s recordkeeping, including recording financial transactions, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, and completing annual tax forms. As the human resource manager she guides and manages the services, policies and programs for the company. She also assists with all technical support for the staff as well as design and managing the Guide Engineering website.
Charles has been surveying for 46 years and licensed for 36 years (License # LS 45). The majority of his experience is in boundary surveys and resolution of the same, he also has extensive experience in construction staking. The main areas of his work have been in the counties of Sacramento, Placer & El Dorado.
Drafter
As our main drafter, Sameer helps support Jared on projects by addressing agency comments, handling submittals, and corresponding with agencies and clients.
Jared Brown
Civil Engineer
Jared's 20 years of experience include engineering, land development and public works. He has participated in more than 300 projects throughout California and developed initial concepts through planning for environmental, engineering and construction. His career has been benchmarked by an in depth knowledge of alternate design standards and their effective implementation.
His main focus is making ideas a reality. He has a keen ability for reducing timelines that results in improved organizational success. In addition to ensuring timelines are met and deliverables are on schedule, he has a history of creating clear, precise budgets and cost estimates that meet profit projections and have a proven track record of reducing overhead and unnecessary costs.
